Dr. Omar Abu Hijleh

Dr. Omar Abu Hijleh is a distinguished consultant endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and thyroid disorders at Abdali Hospital in Amman. He has an impressive educational background, having obtained a bachelor’s degree in medicine and general surgery from Cairo University – Kasr Al-Ainy. Additionally, he holds the Jordanian board certifications in internal diseases and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

Dr. Abu Hijleh furthered his expertise with a Master’s degree in Glands Deafness and Diabetes from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, United Kingdom. He is recognized as a Member of the British Royal College of Physicians, a Fellow of the British Royal Colleges of Physicians in London, and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

Notably, he is actively involved in various medical societies, serving as the President of the Jordanian Osteoporosis Society and being a valued member of the Jordanian Association for Diabetes Care.

At his clinic in Amman, Dr. Abu Hijleh provides comprehensive and integrated care for patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, as well as treatments for hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid enlargement, and tumors.
