Tomographic Ultrasound: Transforming Thyroid Detection at German Nuclear Medicine Association (DGN) 2023

An upcoming course featuring PIUR Imaging and instructed by Dr. Johannes Richter will take place on April 20th and 21st, 2023, at the annual congress of the German Nuclear Medicine Association (DGN) in Leipzig, Germany.

Date: April 20 – 21, 2023

Location: Leipzig, Germany

The course will highlight tomographic ultrasound, a novel hard- and software solution that automatically recognizes thyroid nodules and calculates volumes and TIRADS evaluations based on ultrasound. This technology is particularly useful for RFA planning and follow-up investigations, including volume reduction comparisons.

Dr. Richter, an expert in nuclear medicine, will lead the course and draw upon his extensive experience with PIUR Imaging in a range of medical applications.

Individuals interested in the latest developments in tomographic ultrasound and its potential applications in medical imaging are encouraged to attend this informative course at the DGN congress in Leipzig.

ABOUT PIUR Imaging

PIUR Imaging is a medical technology company that specializes in developing innovative software solutions for medical imaging. The company is focused on providing state-of-the-art tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of medical diagnosis and treatment planning.

One of PIUR Imaging’s flagship products is its tomographic ultrasound technology, which is used in the planning and follow-up of ablation procedures. Ablation is a minimally invasive technique used to treat certain types of cancer and other medical conditions by destroying targeted tissues using heat or cold.

PIUR Imaging’s tomographic ultrasound technology provides highly detailed 3D images of the target tissue, allowing physicians to precisely plan and monitor the ablation procedure. By accurately tracking the size and shape of the target tissue, the technology ensures that the ablation is applied only to the intended tissue, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

The technology also enables physicians to monitor the effects of the ablation over time, allowing them to track the size and shape of the treated tissue and adjust treatment plans as needed. This leads to improved patient outcomes and reduced side effects.
